Connect Rocket UI Outage

Post-Mortem

This outage affected the Connect Rocket web UI. Inbound and Outbound calling and texting were not affected.

This outage was caused by a difference in server naming convention introduced when Connect Rocket was migrated to a new hosting environment in late October 2019. Although we have completed many successful production deployments since this migration, this particular deployment impacted certain settings on the server for the first time. These changes resulted in the failed deployment and the corresponding UI outage.

Steps have been taken to verify the naming convention has been fixed and to ensure this error cannot happen again.

Resolved

We have now successfully deployed our 'fix'. The Connect Rocket UI is available once again. All services are working as expected. We'll finalize our internal investigation of the issue and provide a post mortem near term that will outline what occurred and what steps we've taken to prevent a recurrence of this issue.

The Connect Rocket UI is currently unavailable. We're aware of the issue. The team has diagnosed the problem and is deploying a fix at this time. All Connect Rocket services with the exception of the UI are available and working as expected. We will provide regular updates here.
